across the pond

I invite you to join me in my adventures and discoveries as I serve for the Peace Corps in Cape Verde. I remind you (per order of the Peace Corps) that this website reflects my views alone and not those of the Peace Corps or the American government.

down to the wire

So I still have a wee bit of packing to do, and a few days left to finish all the paperwork and other nonsense I have been putting off. All that I can say is that I have a colony of restless butterflies residing in my tummy! Come this time next week I will (hopefully) be adjusted to the jet lag in my new (pseudo-temporary) home. A huge thanks to all who have wished me well in all of your special ways. I'll keep you all "posted" (haha... get it?... I'm posting on a blog...) on how my life develops in Cape Verde and I hope you will stay in touch!

p.s. A good way to stay in touch is to send me letters to read when I am lonely!
