preparations
For the past few and next few weeks I have been and will be getting ready to leave the country. Preparations include a desperate frenzy of cramming Portuguese into my frazzled brain, figuring out how to pack for two years, spending time with family and friends, learning about life in Cape Verde and attempting to establish and maintain contact with those I will leave behind.
Here is my attempt. Please be patient as I establish this page. It's not top priority, and the adventure has yet to begin. :o)

Hey There!
Just sent a HUGE shipment of markers, pens, pencils, tape, and various other classroom supplies. Let me know if there is anything else you will need. I'm thinking maybe notebooks, essay books, papers, etc?
Miss you, miss you! (believe it or not, have started two letters but not been able to get to them to finish-am literally going to work, coming home, going directly to bed and going to work the next day. Monday the 4th is 1st day off in over a month. Mom #2 and I are planning on mimosa party Monday until champagne runs out!
